Seminars For Your Church or a Home Study Group |

Have you ever wondered how Christianity developed? What other religions really believe? How the Old Testament and New Testament tie together? Then these seminars may be for your church or home study group. Mark Nickens, Ph.D. in Church History with concentrations in Biblical Studies and World Religions and fifteen years of teaching undergraduate and graduate students, will come to your church or home and lead a three-hour seminar on the topic of your choice: Church History: Discover how Christianity has developed over the almost 2000 years of its history. Click here for more information. World Religions: Learn what Jews, Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists really believe. Click here for more information. Biblical Class: Understand how the Old and New Testament are linked. In addition, your church will learn why the Old Testament and the New Testament are arranged the way they are. Click here for more information. Other Seminars: These seminars can be adapted to fit different needs/desires. Time slots: For each seminar, Mark will come to your church or home for a personal lesson. In addition, you will receive a booklet which you may run off for each member of the class. Suggested times for the classes are 6-9 on Friday night; 9-12, 1-4, or 6-9 on Saturday; or 2-5 on Sunday. These are only suggested times. Bio: Mark Nickens graduated from Wingate University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) and from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1993 with a Master of Divinity degree (M.Div.) and in 1999 with a Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.). He has taught at eleven colleges, universities, Bible colleges, and seminaries since 1994. He operates a website at www.studychurchhistory.com (www.drnickens.com will also get you there) which includes over 150 summaries of people, events, and situations in the History of Christianity, two timelines, and one detailed chronology of Church History (last one in progress and completed up to the fifth century).
